The road to knowledge?
(beginner) a white belt idicates that you are new to the arts just starting out Grade 1.
(4 to 6 weeks) The Yellow belt represents your 2nd level of grade, relatively easy to master, including the very basic ellements.
(12 to 14 weeks) The green belt represents the 3rd stage of the syllabus, harder than the first but still relatively easy to obtain, none the less quite an achievement.
(20 to 30 weeks) The blue belt is our midway point,grade 4, the point at wich you will have attained a quite proficient knowledge of the system,and a point at wich we loose most of our students due to the technical aspects now required.
(60 weeks) The red belt represents an advanced level,5th, by now you will have a great degree of skill and ballance and your progression should be easy to the upper grades, & now it is time to train for the instructor levels.
(18 months) The brown belt indicates that you have reached assistant instructor level (6) &
you should be preparing for the black belt examination, this is the hardest part of the syllabus. BLACK BELT (2/3 years grade 7) The goal of most martial artists, a great achievement, you will be ready to teach at this level and should have the knowledge and wisdom befiting this rank,although we are not a traditional group the grade evokes a spirit, wich, is traditional.y enquiry We have a complete syllabus from beginner to blackbelt, the syllabus is comprehensive & can be achieved by anyone of any age, this will require commitment & hard work, this is the only way that you can EARN your grades, the times indicated are minimum ones, the harder and more time spent in studying the grades will bring quicker progression, it is possible to gain your black belt within two years, if YOU, are prepared to train hard. |
